Compared with electrically excited motors, permanent magnet motors have the following advantages:

These motors eliminate excitation system losses, boosting efficiency by 5-12%. They offer a high power factor, an advantageous torque-to-inertia ratio, reduced stator current and resistance loss, and superior control performance. Direct motor drive eliminates speed slip and bearing-related losses, resulting in a 3% increase in efficiency.
